Along with constantly getting logged out (much worse than yesterday) I am now repeatedly getting messages similar to the one below.

Confirmed. I’ve gotten the same message. Looks like a timeout error to me, and my end is rock-solid.
Cloudfront? Are we under attack by soft-core Nazis?
I’m also having a lot of trouble. I can barely read, and I’ll find out in a moment if I can post.
I was unable to copy a post to reply to it a little while ago. There was a quote button, but it just took me to the log in screen when I tried to post.
Update: Got one of those messages when trying to post to a thread a few minutes ago, but the post went through anyway.
I seem to be getting some lag on-and-off trying to browse the board, and downforeveryoneorjustme.com is reporting the board as both up and down in rapid succession.
Someone may be engaging in shenanigans, but apparently the new defensive grid is holding off some of the assault.
I’m getting the same errors constantly - so far about half of the page loads fail.
Cloudfront is Amazon’s content delivery netork - so we can reasonably assume SDMB is hosted by AWS. It looks as if the AWS router system is bouncing the requests down to the server OK, but that the servers may still be in trouble.
It’s sure keeping us out.
Hope they get the bugs out of it soon. Reading/posting has been iffy for me all morning.
I got the same message, but now I get in, but after about 30 seconds delay time.

I don’t dare log out and am getting myself prepared. I’ve already found water by rearranging the letters in my username. I’m debating how to best utilize the remaining letters - should I opt for a midget, a famed knight, a mad elf king or a naked film night?

I don’t know if it’s just me, but when I browse without an ad blocker*, performance and responsivity is atrocious - it’s almost as if the links on the page aren’t clickable, or that there’s something consuming session resources.
*It’s normally not necessary for me to use an ad blocker here, because staying logged in serves the same end
It’s been sluggish for me today. Right now, it’s loading OK but without images.
And if they did move the site to AWS, perhaps the experts there can help to prevent DDOS attacks while not requiring us to keep logging in. Because that’s been an annoyance since the site restarted on Friday.

I find the board to be almost completely unusable. I keep getting the time out that others have mentioned if it even connects at all. Usually it just spins forever.
Regarding being logged out, I get logged out every time I click a link. This is the first time I have been able to reply and I have found the only way it works if I am not logged in and hit post reply at which point it prompts me to log in and takes me to the reply screen. After hitting submit reply I am immediately logged out.
I hope they fix this soon.
The board was very very slow for me earlier today, OK now.
Meantime, for the second straight day I cannot get to Amazon’s website (store or forums). I get pages asking me to sign in, but they don’t go anywhere.
