Uninsured people who oppose healthcare reform

What the hell is with all the vitriol? Mr Smashy seems pretty reasonable to me, even if he’s wrong.

Perhaps it’s because of his relatively low IQ.

The hive mind does not tolerate dissent.

Shodan

I can’t speak for Lobohan, who’s pretty aggressive, maybe too much, but for me it’s the fact that Smashy’s being hypocritical when he gets on his high horse about manners.

I wish you the best of luck in reconnecting with it.

Perhaps, but there’s certainly a difference of degree. MS was a bit dismissive; Lobohan (and probably some other people) were in full attack-dog mode about two (of Mr Smashy’s) posts in.

Agressive, moi?

All I ask is a little honesty. And Mr. Smashy has completely ignored when he’s wrong, and presented opinion pieces as evidence. He’s stupid, he’s a liar and he’s not enough of a man to take his lumps.

So he’s pretty much the gold standard by which 21st century conservatives are measured against.

The fact is, I miss smart conservatives. There are good arguments to be had, but they should be based on facts, not the moronic fantasy that Smashy has internalized.

If you have time re-read the first page of this thread. Smashy projected such ignorant talking points it was obvious he was in no way informed about the policies of this administration. He was talking about deficits and random drudge with no insight as to what the actual facts were.

Why not beat down someone sowing so many willful lies?

Add to that the fact that when I posted cites and tried to post some reasonable discussion, I was roundly ignored. That’s why I believe** Mr. Smashy** was more interested in collecting insults than in engaging in discussion.

And Shodan? I love dissent. Take my cites and tell me why they do not pertain to the discussion at hand, or why they are in error. But ignoring me, and revelling in the insults of others does not really increase my respect.

He’s not stupid. He has an IQ of 139. Regular people like us shouldn’t even be talking to Smashy. We’re not worthy. And don’t forget he’s got a better job than us too. After all he’s an exec with lots of letters like BBA and MBA.

I’m a little curious as to why anyone would mention that they have a bachelor’s degree in a given field if they have a master’s in the same field.

Can’t say as I’ve noticed, really.

[Pops gore-covered head out of deer carcass]Rowr?

Horseshit. He responded to you directly, more than once.

You people are unbelievable. A bunch of assholes screaming insults, and you complaining about his behavior. You’re as bad as Knorf cutting out everything substantive in my posts and complaining that I won’t debate.

Shodan

I know. What are you afraid of?

It was a different concentration. I was searching for some objective metric. I’m still awaiting an answer on what metric he wants to use for intelligence (aside from, you know, just agreeing with whatever the ‘hive mind’ - great term, Sho - believes is the answer.)

I am more than a little curious why so many on this thread are still in favor of whatever comes out of the smoke-filled backroom of Harry Reid’s conference table, especially when knuckle-dragging, mouth-breathing right-wing ideologues like Howard Dean are against it. I see Kissel in NC also just turned against it.

I understand the political calculus; pass this, get the camel’s nose under the tent, then work to expand it. I think reality though would be exactly the opposite. Passing this bill would provide a cause celebre that would energize the GOP base in 2010, certainly enough to lose a ton of seats a la 1994, maybe even enough to take back Congress. Politically, it seems like suicide for the Dems. I posted a couple opinion pieces upthread about this, from those notorious rightwing rags, Washington Post and Slate.

Regardless of where you stand on HCR, it’s sad that it looks like this 2000-page bill (but it’s in a huge font!!!) may be introduced on Christmas Eve for a quickie vote, before anyone has a chance to read it. Do you feel that strongly about your cause that you want to subvert Democracy that way? The public has clearly turned against it:

This will obviously be blamed on the mythical right-wing message machine, by the true believers. I happen to feel that Obama is clearly just trying to pass something, anything, just so he can declare victory. If those polls are to be believed, it could very well be pyrrhic.

He responded with very little substantive material, and then stopped responding. And please don’t call me an asshole. Or I will rub the insult on myself and show it to everyone, and cry about what a meanie you are. sniff.

You don’t need a metric. Just keep your dick in your pants because nobody wants to see it. The only reason to post your IQ is for attention whoring purposes. Any other ways you want to point out how great you are?

Not to mention IQ doesn’t mean jack shit.

I’m sorry, I can’t hear you over the sound of how awesome Smashy is with his 139 IQ.

Not to mention, he’s most likely lying.

Smashy is downright stupid. He can’t think for himself, and doesn’t have any integrity to speak of. If he is smart then his total lack of critical thinking in this thread only makes him more pathetic.
