Unknown host name and internet status in routers settings

There are some unknown host names and internet status in routers settings.

Unknown host name and unknown IP address showing up and despairing. And entries showing self-assigned.

Also unknown IP address showing up and despairing under my proper host name.

Than there are some entries just showing as unknown host name and strange IP address like

Like fe80::18d2:74ca:e3ae:b5c5

And unknown IP address showing up under my IP address like.

2607:fea8:ddf:fob8:42d3:aeff:fe63:2924

It shows DHCP-IP and type self assigned.

I have no idea what these self assigned are or what these unknown host name are.

Is some one hacking my router or is there malware on my router?

Unlikely to be malware on a router (although not impossible).

Have you ever ‘paired’ any devices with it (printers or IoT type devices) by pressing the WPS button?

Those IP addresses are IPv6, the replacement for IPv4, which is slowly rolling out. IPv4 addresses are in a format like 192.168.1.135.

Modern versions of Windows run both IPv4 and v6 at the same time. If you open a command prompt and type:

ipconfig /all

You will see your IP addresses for both.

If these are unknown IP address are really IPv6 why are they showing up and despairing under my proper host name and normal IP address.

Would such device use both IPv6 and IPv4? Why the showing up and despairing?

Because IPv4 and IPv6 are not exclusive. You can have both working at the same time.

I’m not following what a despairing address is?
