I love beagles, and I am really excited that one won best is show!
Tara* was unimpressed with Uno’s win: she was snoring on the couch at the time. 
I was so psyched to see a Beagle win!
*Tara is my boyfriend’s dog, but she’s staying at my house while he’s on a long business trip. I’m moving into his place in a few months, so she’s kind of my step-dog. 
We’re also planning to get a puppy for me in the fall, and of course it will be another Beagle.
Hm…beagles…napping…snacking…I’m seeing a trend emerging here…
Of course, it’s all dogs, but I cherrypick here.

I don’t know; I guess not. There is only so much they can learn with cadavers. My sister, who frankly cares more about [insert random animal] than she does about any humans she’s ever met doesn’t seem too upset about it. They are well taken care of, well nourished, walked every day, etc. They don’t seem to be unhappy dogs at all, and if they were, even if only in her opinion, I would certainly have heard of it. Truth is, though, I don’t know exactly what the dogs are used for other than the basic spay/neuter, vaccinations, etc. Pictures my sister took of two of them don’t show dogs with any multiple-cut-open-and-operated scars, so I’m pretty sure they aren’t being used for basic anatomy!
UPDATE: my father “gave” my mom one of the dogs for Valentine’s Day… or rather, he gave her permission to tell my sister to put her name on the list for when they become available. The one she might get is currently named “Josh”.

I believe you caught a rerun: the Eukanuba dog show was a few weeks ago, if I’m not mistaken. Before Westminster. Beagles still rule. 
Beagles are your tri colored overlords. They will run you by breaking down your resistance slowly and surely. It will be done by cuteness.
