A lot of that I agree with it, especially the bit about patriotism (although it depends on the type of patriotism–I’m talking about the types that lean towards nationalism, “my country right or wrong,” “if you don’t like it get out of the country!” types of patriotism. Nationalism is a blight on humanity. Period.) I also do not like the Pledge and find it quite creepy as an adult.
I definitely do not agree with #13, though. I don’t have a handgun, but I know plenty of folks who do (and it’s not outside the realm of possibility that I would purchase one myself), but I do not think any of them wants to use it on a human being at all. But, hey, this is the “unpopular opinions” thread, so that’s to be expected.

We strongly associate certain foods with certain ethnic groups. Regardless if we like to admit it or not. Mexicans - tacos, Indians - curry, east Asians - rice, white people - bologna sandwiches and bud light.
Certain forms of eugenics aren’t so bad. We have a shortage of good looking, intelligent, and emotionally stable people in the world. We need to encourage attractive, smart, and sane people to reproduce more. I don’t understand why people would be against such.
Virtue signaling is dumb. My strategy is to come across more of an asshole than I already am, so I can surprise people when I’m good.
I don’t understand why people have a problem with “no visitation in exchange for no child support”. This should be an option and many families and children would be better off for it. I also believe that if a child does not wish to see a parent with whom they are not living, they shouldn’t have to, even if they haven’t reached the age where it is no longer mandatory (12 in my state).
I don’t get warm fuzzy feelings when I see TV footage of soldiers coming home. I know darned well that most of them are coming home to train wrecks of their own creation.
I firmly believe that the US government is a bigger force for evil in the world than ISIS is. This is while ignoring the current orange-faced figurehead, who is merely more honest than usual about how evil he is. US drone strikes alone have probably killed more innocents than terrorists have, and that is merely a drop in the bucket on the blood on the US government’s hands.
The press should be enjoined from publishing information about terrorists – possibly even that terrorism was involved. The bastards just want attention: starving them of that is half the battle.
I like them, but I no longer live in a place they contiminate. Now I just get to see them fly by at dawn and dusk. (Probably on their way to ruin someone’s lawn)
