I remember a story from September 11, about a pet cat that survived in a nearby apartment drinking dirty water until she was rescued and reunited with her humans. And you know what? That was one of the things that helped THAT couple cope with what happened.
It would make ME feel better at least, someone helping my beloved animals. These animals may not mean shit to you, Unregistered Bull, but they are loved by someone, and I’m sure these people feel better, or comforted, knowing that someone is trying to help them.

Heck, even in some Pit threads, it might be appropriate. But this going in a derailing EVERY MPSIMS thread about animals with your whacked-out agenda has GOT to stop.
At least I care more for human beings than animals. That can’t be said for you.
The crazy ones, the deliberately mean ones are the ones that care more about animals than humans and are wasting resources on those animals that could be better spent on humans.
What resources are being wasted? Instead of an empty van making the return trip, it’s a van with animals in it. So what? You’re seriously unbalanced on this issue, man, and that’s coming from a guy who has argued in favor of animal cruelty on these boards.
This is one last-ditch effort to explain this in a way Unregistered Bull might understand. But I doubt it.

Anyone that would rather someone rescue their pet instead of a fellow human being, even a stranger (even a stranger of a different race) is very vile person. Once human beings are taken care of, save all the animals that you want. Untill then, when there is a real serious disease risk, gangs of men raping women, hospital patients dieing, hundreds of thousands homeles, thousand of dead that need buried, etc. help the human beings. Unless like Lefthand you care about a bunch of animals more than a bunch of human beings that are very much in need of serious, expensive help.

Well, with people like you, I can see WHY they’d care more about animals.
I’ve never argued in favor of animal cruelty. I’ve argued in favor of respecting different cultures’ uses of animals and commercially viable raising and slaughter of livestock and poultry. Picking up animals is enabling the wasting of resources of saving animals instead of humans. Animal rights is bizzare, disturbing, and dangerous trend. The desire to ignore human plight in the greatest disaster to hit the US while focusing on animal plight instead just bears this notion fruit.
