Unusual Celebrity Crushes

I completely agree with[ul][li]John McGinley[/li][li]Billy Bob Thornton[/li][li]Alan Tudyk[/li][li]Matthew Perry[/li][li]Stephen Colbert[/li][li]Anthony Stewart Head (I got Buffy The Vampire Slayer: The Chosen Collection for Christmas, and have been watching the entire series from the beginning and thoroughly enjoying Giles in all of his Watcher-y goodness … I just finished Season 2, where I got to hear him say my name (“Jenny”) a lot. Sigh. :))[/ul][/li]And I will add[ul][li]Greg Grunberg (formerly Weiss on Alias)[/li][li]Miguel Ferrer (Dr. Macy on Crossing Jordan, but I first noticed him in The Stand)[/li][li]Sean Murray (McGee on NCIS)[/li][li]Seth Green (Barry on Four Kings, but of course I’ve loved him since Buffy)[/ul][/li]I have lots of other celebrity crushes, but these are the “unusual” ones that I can think of.

My odd ones are Tommy Lee Jones and Kevin Kline. I don’t know what it is about Mr. Jones, but oh, my goodness! (insert drooling smiley here)

Sneezy

Incontheivable!!!

Aw, come on. Someone had to.

Anne Hathaway

Jane Krakowski

Their two ages added together are only 4 years older than I am. I’m such a dirty old man.

With great taste!

Kevin Kline is an odd one? Well, I guess I’d better add him too. Oh, and I forgot about one that I’ve held since I was fourteen. . .

Walter Matthau

Now THAT’S weird.

As I kid, I thought David Brenner was so cute! Looking at him today, I think I was right! I also vowed to marry John Derek after seeing him in The Ten Commandments. Then I grew up and saw how creepy his is, and changed my mind.

Today–it’s Harvey Keitel. After seeing him in The Piano. He just seems so … substanital.

I’ve been secretly, madly in love withJaneane Garofalo for a few years now. Not only does she look beautiful and… warm, somehow, but she’s also hilarious and cleverer than a Dennis Miller monologue. The perfect woman. If only I was 15 years older…

Last time, I believe the reaction was a little more startled. Dopers are just used to me, I guess!

Besides, isn’t that the sexiest sounding name? Krrrak-OW-ski! :stuck_out_tongue: Mmm mmm mmm.

I have no “celebrity crushes” currently, but in the 70s my big infatuation was Linda Ellerbee . I never missed NBC News Overnight , partially because I’m a news junkie, but mostly because of her. At the time, I thought she was the most intelligent, sexy woman I’d ever laid eyes (and ears) on.

Joan Cusack

Really can’t explain why. I realize she can look severly goofy when she wants to, and doesn’t fit any conventional definition of attractiveness, but when she does a role that just showcases her as a more “normal” charactor, she can look pretty good. There is just something about her that I really like.

Oh, man:

Conan O’Brien

Jimmy Pop Ali

Graham Coxon

Esthero

Louise Wener

Sonya Aurora Maden

Miho Hatori

Damon Albarn

Neil Tennant - my most impossible yet unshakable crush

Morrissey

My crushes… crushed the thread. Sorry, my loves… you were just too hideous.

strikes dramatic hand to forehead pose, then rushes off

Just thought of another one:

Joanie Mitchell. How the hell could I have forgotten about her?

Oh please. I don’t see any little squint-eyed men with a lisp on your list. Drama queen!

I loves me some Lili Taylor.

Mine’s not really unusual; he’s super-talented, smart, funny, self-effacing – just in general a really great guy. But whenever I mention my crush to people, they get funny looks on their faces.

Lyle Lovett. And I’m pleased to note that I’m the first to bring him up in this thread.
