Peanut butter and crispy bacon (I’m talkin’ thick cut from a cast iron skillet crispy) on whole wheat toast with a “real” coke. YUM! Really, try it! ;j
Anything BUT ice cream with HP Sauce… HP ROCKS!
MMMMM - boiled peanuts… right up there with a bag of peanuts poured into a cold coca cola (but it’s GOT to be in a very cold green glass bottle)… I’m hungry now - off to fry some bacon. Heeee heeeeee!
I used to do that as a kid, putting regular potato chips on a PBJ sandwich. I still do it, occasionally, whenever I feel a need for some child-like comfort food.
I made the happy accidental discovery the other day of “hint of lime” tostitos dipped in…vanilla ice cream. And then immediately banned it from my apartment since I like being the weight that I am…
Hmmm…one more entry from the chapter called “Why it’s a good thing I live alone”.
One of my favorite snacks is sardines in olive oil…mush them up with minced onion, crushed saltines and some lemon juice. Add a bit of salt/pepper. Mmmmm…
I could live with you, Jadis.
That sounds yummy. What do you eat it on? Just with a spoon? Maybe serve it on some saltines, rather than using crushed saltines… quite tasty.
A Frito and bolonga sandwich. With Miracle Whip.
My fave snack of the moment is cottage cheese with maple syrup. mmm…
I also put chips on sandwiches, except PB&J. Although, the squishier the sandwich ingredient the better it is with chips, tuna salad is the best.
I also like boiled peanuts, I was introduced to them by some friends at a sci-fi con which involved drinking lots of alcohol. Other con food we ate was pickled okra with squeeze cheese on a triscuit. I decided to try it when sober and found I still liked it and sometimes just snack on the okra by itself.
I like sardines, too, but I’ve never tried mashing them up. Might have to try that.
I’ve also put potato chips on sandwiches a few times. Pretty good.
Cole slaw on sandwiches is tasty, but doesn’t seem that unusual.
On long car trips I’ve snacked on potato chips and beef jerky. Like a dehydrated steak and potatoes dinner.
My most unusual snack appears on nights when I make rice. Right about when it’s cool enough to put in the refrigerator, but still luke-warm, I’ll eat a spoonful and then take a bite of dark chocolate.
I just eat it right out of the bowl. I never thought of spreading it on the sardines instead of crushing them in there…that could work. I’ll try it tonight.
No offense, but that sounds gross. I eat cottage cheese with French dressing, the neon-orange stuff. Started doing that in college. Other people think it’s gross, but I like it.
My son was eating Wendy’s french fries dipped in his Frosty (chocolate shake) the other day. Yuk.
Kellogs extra crunchy (with fruit) and fruit juice (I only like milk in hot drinks). When I was at college we used to drink an OXO cube crumbled into boiling water with milk. Strangely enough I’ve never wanted to find out if I would still enjoy that.
*cream cheese (not lo-fat) with red plum jam spooned over the top then eaten with Wheat Thins crackers.
*Fresh popped popcorn tossed with tabasco and lime juice.
Saltines with margarine. I make little sandwiches out of them. I make chili every few months, and with that comes saltines.
I eat far more crackers than I do chili.
Ice cream and doritos. (not together, but bite of one, then a bite of another).
Also popcorn and M&Ms all mixed up in the same bowl.
The latter two are period food.
French fries dipped in butterscotch pudding. Mmmm.
I adore peanut butter and mayonnaise sandwiches (although I don’t have them much at all anymore, with all the fat in them!). I have been able to convince exactly zero people to even try one.
When I was little, I liked glasses of half Diet Coke and half whole milk. I tried it a few years later and found it disgusting.
[sub]And I still really really like cheetos or cheese puffs dipped in chocolate milk.[/sub]
Peanut butter and banana sandwiches are the bane of my diet.
It’s a type of chicken curry made with coconut flavour cream. It’s my fave type of indian curry.
