My wife, mother and niece are all Christmas babies. As your son gets older he is going to hate being born about this time of year. And anyone else born around Christmas will have stories about the 2 in 1 gift, a combination Christmas and birthday present. I should have known better but the first Christmas my wife and I had together, I tried the combigift thing. It will never happen again.
Congratulations. What a magical wonderful Christmas presant you got. From what you have writen, its been a bad time for you. Arthur will make it all worth it. From now on it gets better and harder.
My birthday is right before Christmas and I once got a card that said hapry birthmas (it was attatched to a clarinet), but for the most part my parents tried to keep the christmas and birthdays appart. The biggest problem is that you only have one shot to get all the presents, and who the heck wants a bicycle in December in Alberta.
Well as my other Christmas present was a coffee maker (I didn’t have one) and a tin of Tim’s coffee… right away if we can get breastfeeding going. Having a few troubles but other then that things are good.
racer72 I know… my aunt is a Christmas baby and my Grandfather was born on the 26th. I’m going to do my best to keep them seperate without spoiling him utterly at this time of year.

Let’s just hope that, as he gets older, he isn’t resentful that his birthday gets upstaged by someone else’s every year.
Oh, yeah–and I’m also hoping that he stays healthy, grows up well, etc. But, you know, everyone’s thinking that stuff.
