Regarding Cecil’s classic column of “What are the odds of getting AIDS from ordinary heterosexual sex?”, what’s the latest dope on this topic? The date of the original column is 1988 and it appears to use even more outdated statistics. Does anyone have more recent stats to confirm/deny Cecil’s findings with today’s vaster medical knowledge?
I am interested in this too. Those stats were one of the reasons I started looking around the Straight Dope and there in found the SDMB. An update would be great.
