i had assumed no packages are shipped saturday and sunday, but i’ve been waiting on something since Thursday! any other experiences that weren’t life-altering, but annoying with UPS?
UPS ground usually takes 5-7 days, depending on how far away you are from the shipping site. If the package was shipped last Thursday, don’t look for it before tomorrow or the next day.
UPS rocks my world, baby!
Shipping Manager is one of my titles here, and since shit-canning FedEx for UPS, all I can say is they are indeed the best shipper that I know of.
They don’t bust our shit up nearly as often, and when they do, they send us a fat old check! No questions asked!
I dig em!
“Lets get them meek bastards NOW!”
And they don’t deliver on weekends, and if you contact the shipper they have a tracking number that you can use to find out exactly when your package will arrive.
(gato, I do UPS claims where I work too, and I too love the no-questions-asked-we’ll-pay-out-on-pretty-much-any-claim attitude they’ve got.)
'No questions asked"? I second-dayed some proofs to a freelancer – they somehow managed to drop the package under her deck, in the pouring rain, even though she was home. Attempt 2: they claimed they left it with her; they actually left it with a neighbor, who didn’t bother to bring it over for six days. (Not UPS’s fault, I guess, that the neighbor was an idiot – but if they had left the actual address, she could have picked it up.) Attempt 3 got there – but they’re giving us a song and dance about compensation for the missing two packages.
That said – they’re generally very reliable, and I couldn’t do my job without them.
‘Proof of Delivery’ claims aren’t quite as open-and-shut as damage claims, but I’ve never had them give me trouble. Basically, unless UPS got a signature for the delivery, if the recipient says they didn’t receive the package, UPS pays me. In my experience.
oops… forgot to mention it’s 2-day shipping…
