House on the Rock is the actual house which is wonderful. The area was missed by the glacier so, it’s completely different from the majority of Wisconsin. The whole complex goes by that name and is metal building after building of stuff and you’ll need a whole day to tour. You will get tired at some point and race through it. The House on the Rock Inn is separate and down the road miles from the complex. the Inn is a fantasy sweet establishment, and you can avoid the Inn to save money and go see the House. They also offered tours of the workshop at one time that may still operate, but I don’t think it’s worth the limited time you’ll have.
As for Dundee it’s at the opposite side of Wisconsin, and is in the Kettle Moraine park system, which is an area that highlights glacier features quit well. Look for fossilized corals in the rocks when your in that area. Visit the Ice Age Center to understand kames and moraines. By Dundee is a federal area called Spruce Bog. It’s hard to find, but you can view many rare species including some Pitcher plants.
Okay, that’s fifty entries. Scores will be up sometime this afternoon (Eastern Daylight Time). Interesting that so many people appeared unfamiliar with the “hit the floor” legend, and that a large subset of that group assumed the man was blind (Stevie Wonder or Ray Charles).
