I just heard the other day that the entire first season is due to be released in a three disc set on the 25th.
According to amazon it is currently the second ranking seller. Let’s all do our part to kick it up to #1!

Man, how bad was that first season? I’d have to say that I watch the Simpsons every day. But if it’s an episode from the first two seasons, I turn the TV off.
Same here, I can’t wait for some of the more recent seasons to come out on disc.
I agree. The first season or two is just barely watchable. It was bland and had not found its niche yet. That’s where a lot of people got their mistaken ideas that the Simpsons is nothting but “Eat my shorts” and “Don’t have a cow.” Like “Cheers,” I think, the Simpsons gets funnier with each passing season, and the early ones are like a completely different show.
I don’t know…the first two seasons had their moments. I liked the episode where Homer got fired and then went on a safety crusade, and I really enjoyed the “Bart Gets an F” episode.
The Simpsons Archive announced this three months ago (June 19).
