I knew there was no chance Bailey would win but just the thought of spending the next four years listening to that boob speak would have been more than I could handle. Looking at his idiotic mug and hearing that nasal, hillbilly voice in his ads pushed me to the edge of sanity as it was.
Correct, there are no permanent residents. But it’s part of Keweenaw County, which also includes the top of the rabbit’s ear and does have residents. For whatever reason, the map creators put the arrow on Isle Royale instead of the populated part of the county.
It’s interesting to see how the different news agencies are calling the House.

ABC has pretty much always been the earliest to call things and hasn’t rescinded anything yet. They are very close to calling the House for the GOP.
Here in Colorado, an allegedly “non-partisan” committee was in charge of redistricting. The committee made big noises about creating several “balanced” districts.
To the surprise of nobody who was paying attention, the Democrats retained their very firm control of both the State House & Senate. It wasn’t even a close contest.
When I first heard him speak I was astounded that we came from the same state. I understand that the state covers a lot of ground, but Jaysus!
I’m hearing both “Boebert is going to win” and “She has most likely lost” from different sources based on remaining votes.
As of half an hour ago, it’s as tight in the Colorado 3rd as it can probably possibly get.
Frisch: 155,579.
Boebert: 155,506.
A difference of 73 votes.
That’s according to the New York Times.
Per Sarah Sidner (CNN gal onsite in Phoenix, AZ) there will be a “drop” of approximately 86,000 votes released at the top of the hour.

I don’t know about Colorado, but just about everywhere I do, that is a mandatory recount.
In CO it will be a mandatory recount if it remains within 0.5%.
