AZ SoS server back up. Looks like 20k ballots left to count statewide, 17k that can still be cured, and 8k provisional.
Of the 20k, 8k from blue counties (Pima, Apache, Coconino), 9k from red counties (Pinal, Cochise, Yuma) , and 3k from Maricopa. Mayes up 4500 votes for AG, should be safe.
House is now 214r- 204d. 1 r won in az, 1 r won on ny.
So, quite a few Arizonans voted for Kelly (D, Senate) AND Lake (R, Governor). What’s up with that?
Kari Lake tweeted “Arizonans know BS when they see it,” after she was declared the loser of the election.
Twitter is overrun with people pointing out that this is:
- The greatest concession speech in history.
- The best self-own of the year.
Same type as voted for Shapiro ( Gov) and Oz (Senate). I think pundits forget about split ticket voters.
Yep, Mastriano was so extreme there were Republicans who didn’t vote for him.
Here’s an article about Mastriano’s concession speech. He hints he has something else in the pipeline (Trump’s running mate?). His speech was pretty much how I expected it to sound. I really though he’d kick up a fuss if he lost.
Kelly: combat veteran, ex-astronaut. Some veterans might opt for a fellow vet. Masters: image was terrible - looks like the guy the bullies picked on in high school; whiny and smarmy.
Hobbs: very soft-spoken. Most of her ads were positive. Lake: loud and obnoxious. Lots of attack ads. Lots of name/face recognition from decades on television. Some people confuse loud and obnoxious with “strong” (see Trump, Donald).
Maybe small effects, but maybe enough to swing 50k voters in different directions.

Ya know. I did not believe that would end-up as a campaign ad. It just seemed like a weird video of him uncomfortably handling a gun to improve his cred with the 2A crowd. But I was wrong - at the end it is clearly a campaign ad. Truly astonishing.
Just like his BMW. So much for the whole “American Made” thing.
