The other thing to consider in a runoff (and I think that’s where the race is headed) is that the result of the runoff might not matter for senate control. If Fetterman can hold on against Oz (and that seems more likely than not) and Cortez-Masto holds on (I have no idea how that one will go) we’d be going into the runoff 50D-49R. In that situation maybe the Republicans will lose some motivation, knowing that they won’t control the senate even with a Walker victory in a runoff.
Just called for budd in nc.
Yep! One of the MSNBC gals (McCaskill I think her name is) just made that exact same point (another that I hadn’t thought of). Hell yes!
Fuck. Kiggans beats Luria in the Virginia 2nd District. I’m disappointed and angry, but not surprised. Kiggan signs are all over Suffolk.
Wyden for Oregon @ aspenglow.
Murray for Washington.
Thanks, @susan. I wasn’t too worried about that particular race, I’m happy to say.
Senate is at 46 to 46.
Noem, unfortunately, is the incumbent GOP governor; Smith is the Democratic challenger. Noem, I believe, has her sights set much higher than Pierre, SD.
Never mind
This was one of the more exasperating Senate races this cycle. National Democrats never seemed to invest much effort or money into Beasley’s campaign, despite Republican Senator Thom Tillis only winning reelection last cycle by 1.5 points.
One race I’m really curious about is Utah’s senate race between Mike Lee and Evan McMullen. That would be a nice upset.
With 74% of the vote in, NBC News reports that Lauren Boebert trails her challenger, Adam Frisch, 51.8-48.1%, in the Colorado 3rd.
In Mi., Tom Barret (R.) at 55% is leading Elissa Slotkin (D.) at 43% in their congress race, but an important district in Michigan - no. 7 - the largest county with the capital Lansing and Michigan State U - has no results yet, and is explected to bring Slotkin back into the contention again.
Please, please, please…
Ah, thank-you.
CNN just projected or called (wasn’t paying a lot of attention) Patty Murray in the state of Washington.
How many times will we hear the world “stolen” tomorrow morning from the orange (bleep) suckers?
Reproductive rights are winning in the states.
Depends on whether or not Fetterman wins. PA seems to be the most likely place where Republicans are going to try to pull that shit.
