I honestly don’t care who wins, what I want to see is both players comeptitive and neither one to blow up on their score.
May the better man win.

Back to even at +1.
Tiger birdied - E to +1.
What is with this course? I have only been watching golf for a year or so, but it seems to me that -1 for a four round tourney is very low.
Tiger back up by one.
The US Open is traditionally much harder with much higher scores than most other tournaments. It’s actually been a few years since the winning score was even under par.
Tiger birdied again. Tiger -1, Mediate +1
Thanks,** Digoenes**.
Mediate birdied on 8, while Tiger parred. Tiger -1, Mediate E
I beg your pardon. Tiger bogied, Mediate parred on 8. Still Tiger -1, Mediate E
Mediate +1 Woods -1
Mediate’s missed short par putt on 9 doesn’t bode well. He was draining those yesterday.
Pooh, missed the bogey in the channel switch.
10th hole, Medate bogeys. Tiger E, Mediate +3
Can someone briefly explain clubs to me? That is, irons, woods, wedges, drivers, etc. And why are putters shaped so oddly?
How many times has Tiger ever given up a three shot lead on the back nine? Has he ever done it once?
I think I saw Rocco wince.
Maybe his knee hurts.
11th hole: Tiger bogyed, Mediate parred. Tiger +1, Mediate +3
12th hole: Tiger bogeyed, Mediate parred. Tiger +2, Mediate +3

Pitching Wedge
Sand Wedge (designed specifially for sand)
Putter (odd shapes cause every manufacturer is trying to be unique)
The longer the club the more vertical it’s face and the longer it’s shaft.
As you work your way down the shaft gets shorter and the club face angles back more (greater height, less distance)
Well, for starters, the higher numbers on the irons (which are regular golf clubs) mean the club is shorter and there’s more of an angle on the head; basically you hit shorter distances with them with more loft and better aim.
Wedges have even more loft and are just used for getting out of sand or rough.
The drivers and woods are for hitting with a very good lie a really long way, but you can’t use them unless you’re on a tee or sitting pretty on the fairway. The heavy head can really bang the ball but you have less control over the ball. A lot of golfers use the irons even when they drive the ball for that reason, particularly on par 3 holes.
Putters are shaped the way they are because you’re hitting the ball gently and want to hit it straight. There’s no loft to it because you don’t want the ball in the air at all.
Thank you so much, **Hampshire ** and criceyus! Your posts make it much clearer.
