HOle 13: Both birdie. Tiger +1, Mediate +2.

Has the US Open video feed on the US Open Golf website gone down? Is it being carried on any cable or satellite channels? Could I go down to my local sports bar and watch it? My video feed looks like it died or maybe it is overwhelmed. Is anyone else having this problem?

I’ve been seeing the same thing, but if you give it a minute or two it usually catches up on its own.

CBS Sportsline goofs, says Rocco is the winner.

Either that, or they’ve got a very good crystal ball.

Putters are shaped funny because you want the club to have a large second moment of inertia, and for the center of gravity of the head to be in line with the shaft. This keeps the head from twisting during the backstroke and swing, which would cause the head to impact at an angle not perpendicular to the shot line.

Hole 14: Mediate birdies, Tiger pars. Tiger +1, Mediate +1

Also, putters are the clubs people are most superstitious and desperate about. The heads come in every manner of shape, size, and weight in an attempt to make it easier to hit the ball straight and a predictable distance. Rocco Mediate’s putter looks like some kind of Klingon weapon…

Rats, mine’s been down for a half an hour. I reconnected and still nothing is happening.

What happens if they’re tied after 18?

GO ROCCO!!!

[sub] I hate Tiger so much…[/sub]

(And they play sudden death if they are still tied after 18.)
.

From ESPN:

“If the players are tied after 18 holes, the playoff would be decided in sudden death using holes 7, 8 and 18 in rotation.”

Sudden death playoff.

Holy crap, what a shot!

Who, how, and where, for those of us unable to watch?

Heh, don’t tell Milbury.

I wonder what percentage of yesterday’s viewership has an opportunity to tune in on a work day. While I appreciate the updates here, ain’t no substitute for watching it live.

Hole 15: Mediate birdies, Tiger pars. Mediate E, Tiger +1

The shot was the second shot of the 15th hole. Tiger’s first shot went all the way to a bunker on the 8th hole, then landed his second shot a couple of feet away from the hole on the green. Then he misses a short putt.

Your opinions as expressed here are so ridiculous it’s almost comical. They just played 72 holes and finished with the same score. What in the world indicates Tiger was destined to finish the guy off “using nothing longer than a 5 iron”?

And, as we see, Tiger will have to come up with something special to win.

I told you Rocco would do it! :stuck_out_tongue:

Whatever happens, Rocco will have nothing to be embarrassed about when he goes home tonight. He’s held his own against the best in the world.

Yeah, but with a gamey leg!
