US school cancels prom to avoid lesbian student bringing a date

I think it’s pretty clear we’re not going to get a clear message from him. When we ask him for a short summary of his position so that we can understand what he’s talking about, he tells us that the issue is too complicated to explain without a wall of text and avoids the question by calling us close-minded.

As eleanorigby said, the huge, convoluted posts are a smoke screen.

THAT’S IT. You two aren’t welcome at my prom.

Was it what we said or the way we said it or when we said it?

However, fags hate people who wear cotton-poly blends. So it all evens out in the end.

ETA:

I think it was the fact that you didn’t say it when this thread first started, like you should have.

Damn! I hate when that happens!

EXACTLY. I can’t believe you didn’t think about that 8 pages ago. Now you aren’t welcome at the prom and it is 100% your fault.

elenorrigby, you can still go to prom with the 'tards if you’d like.

She doesn’t have to. She can just accept that her CHOICE to be the way she is just that, a CHOICE, and CHOOSE to be a better person and not totally lame.

And above all things, we should NOT say anything or invite public criticism of the status quo.

(sorry, Graves, but the situation is getting ludicrous. It begs for mockery).

It’s Grave. No 's".

Ok. My apology. My name is misspelled in the thread too. I’m left with “so what?”

Believe it or not, I’ve actually seen people arguing that gay people seeking equal rights is an infringement on Christians’ (their definition of ‘Christian’) right to denounce the sin of homosexuality.

Take hat, you bigoted anti-Christian gays, you! :stuck_out_tongue:

What kind of hat? Is it a fedora? I always thought I’d look good in a fedora.

I was just pointing it out, no animosity intended.

Ya? Well in this town pointing out mistakes r fighting wrds, partener.

I hitchiked through Arizona one time. I remember the stars at night being so beautiful.

Were you far out of a major city? In central Phoenix the sky is so clogged with pollution that I never see stars out. :smack:

Phew!

I like fedoras. But cloche is “gayer”. :stuck_out_tongue:

I hate to admit it but I’m not sure which Interstate we were coming along … whether I-10 or I-40. This was back in 1979 or so. I do remember sleeping out in the open with all the stars above. It was the first time I had ever been West and I thought the landscape was so alien looking but so very cool, too.

Grave,

I’m curious about a few points and was hoping you would elaborate.

Where are you speaking? In what capacity are you speaking? Why where you chosen to speak if your only connection is family members and you live an hour away?

Also, I’m sure everyone here would be interested in a recap.
