It makes no difference wheter there is any reasoning for the killing that is going on. Everything that goes wrong is going to be our fault, rightly or wrongly. We knew that before going in. Or at least we should have known. We’d better hope that things get better or else the liberated won’t be so nice anymore.
OK, Chirac may not have used the word “never” when giving his opions on the WMD.
He did say he would never approve a war with Iraq. He wanted the inspections to continue with no end date.
I would point out that France sold Iraq a nuclear power plant. This is a country with the the 2nd largest oil reserves in the world. The former head of Iraq’s nuclear program said they had a working weapon, minus the uranium. Put the 2 events together.
Before Saddam “won” the first mother-of-all-battles France was their number 1 arms dealer. I don’t recall the figure but I think it represented 40% of French arms sales in the early 80’s. The French press even refer to him as Chiraq because of this.
I will not lay the developement of WMD at the foot of France because the last 50 years was a revolving door for all industrialized countries. It would be nice if there was a little more (any) cooperation to undue the damage.
I hate to break it to you, but the Berlin air lift was long after the reconstruction. I hate to break it to you, but the US has received plenty of money, both through acquiring market leadership in many fields due to the Marshall Plan, and by being paid back by Germany. Sorry, ignorance on your part is not an argument.

Maybe you should acquire some basic history education.
groan Yes, and the moon is flat.
Sorry, but that’s a violation of international law.
You mean from which US company.
You are confusing something. They bought dual-use equopment from Germany that could be used for chemical weapons. The key to their bioweapons program was the US.
Too bad you don’t have the bank account, hm?
Thanks for demonstrating that you have merely propaganda to spread. France never denied that WMDs existed. I suggest you acquire a bit of background knowledge, rather than trying to prove that you are a rabid nationalist in complete ignorance of what he is talking about.
Not half as much as claiming the war is sanctioned by the UN and then try to lock out the UN from the rebuilding process while trying to sack and steal Iraqi resources and turn the country into an economic colony of the US. Not half as much galls as breaking almost any body of international law there is, including the Geneva Conventions, and claiming to be the good guys, and that there is a profound difference between which government it is which ignores UN resolutions and international treaties.
I would suggest rather than professing to have no idea what the f**k you are talking about, you actually inform yourself a bit better.

I would point out that that was long ago, at a time the US was providing them with bioweapons capable anthrax and Rumsfeld was shaking hands with Saddam. A lot of these sales happened because the US lobbied for them.
Again, such sales happened not the least due to US pressure.
It would be nice is there was a bit more of cooperation, yes. But as long as one country thinks it knows how to do so better than the entire rest of the world, I doubt anything productive will arise. Quite the contrary, it is already now evident, that rather than undoing damage, a new race towards nuclear weapons has been started.
The problem with this is that when shit happens the US troops lie their way out of it and the explanations may serve to cover up the shit with the US government and the US public but how are you going to convince the Iraqis that what they saw with their eyes did not happen? As this article says, it is like rubbing salt into the wounds.
