Uh oh, someone’s getting fired.
Ossoff results are looking great.
NBC just called it for Ossoff.
Looks like Bottoms is also winning, which could be relevant to Ossoff’s 2028 chances. More immediately, Georgia might start accepting Federal subsidies for their citizens on Medicaid, which is kind of a big deal.
I think a LOT of people are getting fired tonight.![]()
Around 60% counted in many congressional districts in Florida and the vote is very close to 50/50 in many of them. Gonna be some real nailbiters.
And probably some recounts.
Does that mean that the Ds are over performing?
That is what the big boards are showing.
It’s looking good so far but it’s very early, is how I’d put it.
Looks like Dems are winning a couple deep red Congressional seats, IN-5 and KY-6, both of which voted for Trump by at least 15 points. So it seems safe to say we aren’t underperforming!
Probably not, because a large percentage of the outstanding votes are in the heavily Republican Florida panhandle. Those votes haven’t been counted yet because the polls are still open, due to being on central rather than eastern time.
On Silver’s blog they are saying that very early results are consistent with polling not having discounted Republicans
Early results in Ohio looking good for Brown, even better for Acton.
One thing mentioned on Silver’s blog and relevant to FL so far is that the Latinx shift to the Republicans has strongly reversed. No need to speculate on why that might be
Andrews (SC Senate) is now a 3:1 favorite on prediction markets, for what that’s worth.
Florida is starting to seesaw.
Yes, but even if Latinos have reversed and gone heavily D, the panhandle has fewer Latinos, and has not yet been counted. I’ll keep my fingers crossed, but I’d be very surprised if Florida goes blue.
No argument there but maybe some House flips
House is currently 11-8 in Democrats’ favor.
