Ok, I know it ain’t over yet, and yeah UCLA is a great comback team, but I gave up on this game a half hour ago. As a UCLA alumni I just want to take this moment to stand up and scream:
WHAT THE FUCK UCLA??
Seriously, SC is a great team and all, but they were better last year and the Bruins had THREE WEEKS to prepare for this game. This is the biggest game of the year for them and the look like they are asleep out there!!
They let Bush get nearly 200 yards IN THE FIRST QUARTER!! Seriously. I am so saddened and outraged by UCLA’s poor play that I might just root for SC in the rose bowl.
Oh yeah, and if Bush doesn’t get the Heisman after todays performance the system is rigged. Can’t wait to see that boy play pro.

I think it’s hard to carry on this thread without it becoming Pit material.
I will just point out that Pete Carroll was so worried about his 30 and 40 and 50 leads that USC attempted 24 passes in the second half.
Texas attempted just two in the second half against Colorado.
I don’t fault USC for scoring its last TD since they were so close, but Carroll was really trying anything to give Leinart some confidence since he started off so poorly. But Carroll has me shopping for some of that ugly orange clothing that Texas wears.
UCLA was overcome today. What really gets to me though is that the “unbiased” officials", you know the ones who usually make crappy calls in favor of USC in close games, had to make some UTTERLY RIDICULOUS calls when they were completely stomping us. I mean moving the 1st down marker? Not calling intentional grounding when the 5th year dancer was in the pocket and etc. Even the announcers where like “WTF?” I guess they need to give USC all they could due to UCLA non-existent comeback potential.
This goes to show how much football means to this pathetic school.
Bruins, take heart. We will win the Gauntlet this year as we did last year. That is the true test of our school’s athletic prowess against the Scarlet Prophylactics. How well all of our teams do, men and women, in a broad range of sports. We can always hold our head up high knowing that we have 3 national championships this year and lead the nation in NCAA team championships overall.
If they win the championship for football, big deal. That makes ONE to our 3 for this year. So I ask you, who’s really number 1?

Even though Texas breezed through the Big XII, OU did last year.
I see a repeat of last year’s bowl game, with the Trojans winning decisively. USC’s talent on offense is at a different level… hell, I could throw up the ball and someone would make the play.
Even though the media is hyping Texas and Vince Young, I cannot see Texas slowing down USC that much.
What the fuck WAS with the Buffalos today?!?!?! That shit was just completely uncalled for. 70 points with what, 24 minutes left in the game. Bullshit. I never expected CU to win, but jeez, I think they played themselves out of a bowl game today. And Navy will kill CSU, they looked damn good.
I didn’t watch USC-UCLA, apparently fortunately. At least the BCS can thank their lucky stars - there is no doubt of the top two teams this year.
Let me tell you it is tough living in Austin as a 'SC alum right now. All the Longhorn fans are saying pretty much the same thing that OU fans were saying about this time last year. And I’ll respond by saying the same thing - Texas will be the best team that USC has faced this year but by the same token USC will be the best team that Texas has seen.
I hate how Texas fans call USC over-rated - these are fans of a team that plays UNT, Rice and Baylor for crying out loud.
And SC plays in an overrated Pac-10. So what is your point? Hawaii and the two Arizona schools are powerhouses? Who did UCLA really play but those same overrated teams? I’m not saying that they don’t deserve to be number 1, but the BCS computer wouldn’t maintain them as such if the conference in which they play wasn’t overrated to compensate.
Hmm, you know what, I will take South Central over Texas anyday. You only have to worry about idiots with guns late at night, and theres lots of culture less than a mile away. Unlike Texas where you have to leave the state.
Oh, and lets see how overrated you think we are when we kick Texas’s ass in January.
