See, here’s the thing: nobody called anybody else a cunt in that thread to begin with. Honey started it by saying you’re not allowed to use the “C” word, in a mistaken interpretation of the rules.

So, my takeaway is that several of the new posters, being unaware of the rules and taking Honey’s post as fact, reported Green Bean for saying a “bad” word. When actually no rules were broken, as mere use of the word is not against the rules, nor is calling a non-board member a cunt. I think twickster’s mod note was misdirected. Regardless of her personal preference, the word wasn’t being flung around nor directed at anyone. It was more like Green Bean demonstrating the word isn’t against the rules and several people reporting her for what they saw in their minds was a violation. She wasn’t even encouraging people to use the word, just saying that using the word isn’t verboten. I agree with the rule against insulting other posters and the rule against hate speech, but although some people find the word cunt distasteful, it’s not universally viewed as hate speech. People need to pull up their big person’s panties and not hyperventilate over the use of the word. It’s permitted, so, might as well get used to it.
