Ha! And you expect US to punish you? Hire a dominatrix and stop trying to get it off the Internet for free, you cheap and fruity little mosquito larvae.
Unsolicited advice:
- Grow a spine. If you have a point, make it, and don’t waffle.
- Think a bit about your post before making it. Put yourself in the shoes of the target audience, and see if you still want to post it.
- Learn who Opal is.
- Get a thicker skin.
- Lurk a bit more, study the posts you like, and try to find out why they work.
Oh, and: Sod off!
Geez, you remind me of that chronically depressive hound, (was it Canis Mundi or Mundi Canis) who would wail woefully to the moon (or anybody/thing else who’d listen), “Woe is Meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee” (Book of the Dun Cow for interested yobs)
I’m with the ‘Get A Grip’ faction.
At least have some PRIDE in your recently discovered inferiority.
Pardon me, but if you want to be avoided, why are you drawing attention to yourself?
People are smart enough around here (okay, most of us) to quickly learn who the dimwits are, who the arse is, and who can be counted on for a laugh, or a hug if need be.
Buddy, this ain’t the way to get validation. Nope. Nope. Nope.
If you’ve got a problem, which by the looks of things you do, seek help… do not pass go or collect £200…
Dibs!
Got some remodeling to do.
Lobley, some advice:
Stop starting threads. Starting threads is the most difucult thing to do, the thing most likely to get a person into trouble, the place where any slight deficiencies in your arguement get thrown into sharp relief.
See, the common wisdom on the SDMB, esp. in GD, seems to be that the thread starter is ready to play hard-ball: that they wouldn’t have started a thread if they hadn’t spent six months thinking about the topic, getting their cites in order, trying their arguement out on friends, etc. Starting a thread, esp. a thread in GD, is like swaggering into a old west bar with a six shooter on each hip and bandoliers crossed across your chest: it’s assumed that you are looking for a fight.
Tag team fora while. Find an arguement you feel strongly about all ready in progress, and expand on another poster’s points: add examples to illustrate their points or something. Point out weaknessess in the other guy’s arguement and demand he back his claims up–after all, he’s the OP, that’s his responsibility.
If you feel an irrestible urge to start a thread, start a survey in the following format: I like (blank), what do you like?.
Gee, I don’t ever think that about december’s threads.
