What might the reason be for a particular user’s screen name being a different font color than everyone else’s?
For the past week or so, one user’s name appears onscreen in a pale grey font while all other names are a dark blue. I’ve noticed it in numerous threads. The same thing was true for another user’s name about 3 months ago, but I didn’t sign up to ask like I intended to and eventually it stopped on its own.
I only have internet access on this one computer, so I don’t know if it’s a universal thing. I’ve been reading your boards for a long time and don’t recall this being discussed before. Has anyone else ever noticed this?
It’s not a problem, but kind of distracting. Is it something that I’ve done? If so, I’d like to un-do it.
Usernames in threads are links to that poster’s profile. And most browsers will change the color of a link if it’s been clicked recently (what constitutes recently depends on your browser settings; it could be anything from “yesterday” to “forever”). Somewhere in the settings of your browser, you should be able to erase your history, which will turn that username (and all other links) back to the unvisited color. I don’t think there’s any easy way to remove just one single link from your history, though.
Fixed! Thanks. I must have clicked something I didn’t intend to.
In IE (6 and 7), you can right-click individual pages in your history and select “delete”.
That also works in Firefox.
