OK, first off, yes, I could just buy everything and find this out for myself, but that would be kind of spendy so I’m hoping I can get an answer for free 
OK, I have an older computer (not this one) that has an AT keyboard connector. If I bought a USB keyboard with a USB port built in for a USB mouse, hooked the keyboard cable to a USB to PS/2 connector, then hooked that up to a PS/2 to AT connector and plugged it in to the computer, would Windows 98 be able to recognize the mouse plugged into the keyboard?
Absolutely not. AT and PS/2 ports have no ability to chain devices like USB.
