Using an 11 year old as a Human Bomb

** Mehitabel**, I thought something like this. Do you think he chain-smokes as well? Oooo, that’s bad.

You beat me to the punch on this one. I saw that gem in the paper this AM and was going to post it. Sick.

Aldebaran, your source is al-Jazeera? That’s like citing the National Enquirer.

why would you think so? I’m not vouching for the point of view espoused in the article linked, but why the doubt of the veracity of al-Jazeera?

Another boy killed. 6 years old, this time. Both parties blame each-other. Here’s the link

A BBC article. I hope that’s biased towards the Palestinians enough?

I feel sorry for the parents, but I heartily condemn them too. Who leaves a 6 year old standing in front of an open window, when there’s a shooting going on?

I saw on TV [believe me, our news is just as pro-palestine as the BBC] dozens of little kids throwing rocks and molotov cocktails at the Israeli tanks. What parent let his child do that? Are they insane?

Circumstantial evidence only, from Ha’Aretz (but quoting AP sources). It appears that the Israeli version may have credence

From the link:

Whichever way it happened, it is terrible no matter how he got shot :frowning:

Thanks, Noone Special I’m afraid to quote from the Ha’Aretz. Because, you know, it’s an Israeli newspaper. People might think they’re biased.
The fact that they’re mostly correct doesn’t change that.

I have the feeling - mark my words; I said ‘feeling’ - the BBC and their likes are still on the overtaken “palestinians are victims” theory. As long as they are, it’s safe to quote them on this message board.

But I agree with you: It’s terrible. No matter how he was shot.

Why doubt the veracity of al-Jazeera?

From here

If anyone has any reason to believe Ha’Aretz reports the news incorrectly, let them show their proof.
