I cannot get the message board search to work. I type in my seach and I get to a screen that says:
Thank you for searching. Your search is in progress and you will be taken to the results in a moment. Thank you for your patience.
And that is it. I light of the snotty comments from certain people giving newbies a hard time about not searching. I wanted to find out if the search function really works.
Does it work for searching the message boards.
I am using Netscape Communicator 4.7 on solaris.

The search engine DOES work.
But it is amazingly picky.
It does not recognize numbers or punctuation; it just spins when it sees anything not a letter.
It’s case sensitive, so mind those caps and lower case letters.
If you can give it what it wants like it wants it, it works fine.

The seach that caused me to post this was a seach for gazpacho I wanted to see what had happened on a thread I had posted to. I was shocked to find that nobody had responded to my pithy comments. I also got it to work later on. So pehaps the seach was just sulking.
