Because my parents are elderly, I’ve felt compassion for the elderly, so if anyone knows any widows or widowers who are lonely today, why not call them and ask them to be your Valentine, or give them a carnation?

I couldn’t agree more. My grandfather (God rest his sweet soul) used to send me a corsage at school. He was always my favorite valentine, and I miss him dearly.
I’m going out to lunch with my grandma today, and my son (the 7 month old) has a yellow rose for her (her favorite).
