It would a fake reality TV show. A mockumentary in the style of Reno: 911, but with much darker humour. I call it The Real Vampires of [location]. Basically it would be a camera crew following vampires going about their daily (nightly) lives; along with talking head interviews to provide insite on Vampire society & culture (like those shows about the Amish or Gypsies on TLC) and what vampires think of varous cultural depections of them. A great emphasis would be placed on the need for secrecy, which of of course raises the question (that will never be answered) of just who the hell the indended audience is. The camera crew is probally a high-risk occupation, though not all of them are necessarily human. It’s not something that would be really be dwelt on beyond the odd gag. What do you thing?
Death Valley, (basically Reno 911! with zombies, werewolves and vampires), and while I thought it was funny, it didn’t get a second season.
Of course, this was the cops’ point of view, not the undeads they were keeping in check. Your idea might be amusing, but after one season, you might exhaust all the low-hanging vampire humour.
Basically what I was going to post… soo , yeah. I agree completely.
There was also the mockumentary “American Zombie” which featured largely functional zombies out in the world.
Ideas are easy. It’s the execution that makes the difference, and ultimately, it all depends on how well the concept is executed.
