“Your curiosity will reward you”
BULLSHIT!
I was thirsty, I either faced an hour long walk home with a drink or bus ride. I decide to “reward” my urge to drink something new. I bought Vanilla Coke. I am sorry. You taste like regular Coke, but your aftertaste… is… comparable to the juice sitting at the bottom of landfills after a hard spring rain. So here I am walking home, with my litre bottle of Crappy Coke. Not only did I waste $1.59, but I missed a phone call from my best friend who just left for a trip to America. She’ll be back in a week. But I fear this rabid taste in my mouth will be around for much longer.
I like Vanilla Coke. I understand it’s not as good as Coke with actual vanilla in it, but it’ll do.
And to me, Pepsi just tastes like Diet Coke, and Diet Pepsi tastes like flat Diet Coke. I do find Cherry Pepsi and Lemon Twist Pepsi a nice choice to have when I my thirst needs a quenchin and all I see is Pepsi machines.
I must be strange: I like Coke, Pepsi, and Vanilla Coke. Coke has a distinct, harsh flavor that certainly refreshes. Pepsi is milder and sweeter, and isn’t as strong as Coke. Vanilla Coke is milder than Coke, and it has a very subtle, effective vanilla flavoring.
My favorite beverages, however, are the various kinds of root beer and cream soda. Dr. Pepper is, I think, the best true fantasia blend: It tastes like walnuts to me, but mildly, and mixed with other flavors. Nutty flavors work well in sweets.
Love Coca-Cola, hate Pepsi (too syrupy), despise Vanilla Coke.
It tastes like the last third of the homemade Coke and vanilla ice cream floats I used to make with my sister when we were little. The first two-thirds were great, the last third was coagulated half-flat Coke with warm clumps of ice cream mixed in.
Vanilla Coke tastes exactly like that to me, all it needs are the clumps.
Hate Coke, hate Pepsi, hate Dr. Pepper. The only softdrink I have consumed in years is rootbeer and Big Red. Two days ago I tried the Vanilla Coke and I absolutely love it. Tasts like a coke float witout the work. I have had three this week, and I normally drink less than one softdrink a month!
I don’t care for Lemon Coke at all; it tastes like Lemon Pledge was used for the lemon flavoring. From reading these posts, it seems that Vanilla Coke is just as bad. Why not buy a good real vanilla extract and add a few drops to a can of Coke until you like the taste and then add ice? Wouldn’t that taste better?
I thought I was the only one who thought it had a weird aftertaste!
How did this get past the developmental stages at CocaCola Co? Had all their taste-testers gone temporarily batty? Were they in such a rush to recoup their losses at the hands of Pepsi that they were willing to unleash this MONSTROUSITY upon the unsuspecting people of the Earth?
CocaCola Co, I now hope that you are all collectively :smack:
I like Coke. Pepsi is OK. Mt. Dew is OK. Dr. Pepper, OK, etc.
Vanilla Coke just tastes like a bad accident at the beach involving suntan oil and regular Coke. It’s awful. Sounds like the Lemon Coke is an equal tragedy.
Around here, all the Vanilla Coke is sold out. In every store. I heard suppies might be back up by Friday. I’ve never tried it (being a diet drinker) but the hubby looooves it.
LIke coke. Also like Pepsi, but not as much. But Vanilla coke is vile, vile stuff. I tried one ban of it, and couldn’t finish the can. It actually seems to taste worse the further down in the can you get … or maybe that’s just the nasty aftertaste.
Ugh, I don’t like Vanilla Coke too. Makes me think of some strange combination of chinese herbs. I tried some of a friend’s and could barely swallow the first sip.
Regular coke is good. Pepsi’s good. Most any soda’s yum to me.
