So today I decide to “reward my youthful curiousity.” Yechhhhh.
Who greenlighted this merde?
Are they trying to pull another “New Coke” conspiracy on us?
Whatever.

I’ve tried it.
It doesn’t appall me.
But it doesn’t wow me either.
So my overall reaction to Vanilla Coke so far has been one of total indifference.
Good, good, more for me, whoo-hoo!
It’s about a billion times better than regular Coke.
Didn’t much care for Pepsi Blue, or Dr Pepper Red Fusion.
Your tastes may vary.
I like it. It tastes kinda like a coke float.
Diet Vanilla Coke is coming in September or October for those of us diet-cola drinkers and the diabetics. So if you enjoy it, look forward to enjoying it at “just one calorie.”
I like Vanilla Coke. It may not really be a cola taste, but it’s still appealing to me.
Now, when they make Cheezwiz Coke, it’ll be MY turn to pit it.
I cannot taste the vanilla part of vanilla coke. It just tastes like regular coke to me.
It’s like “OK” soda. The most brilliant ad campaign ever. Sadly, it tasted like pure crap…
But the ads were amazing. Print, Radio, TV, absolutely perfect…
I haven’t tried it. I bet Pepsi will come up with something similar!
I’m waiting for Beef-Cola[sup]TM[/sup], personally.
Pepsi’s dissapointing response to Vanilla Coke appears to be the somewhat unremarkable Pesi Blue. The stuff is basically carbonated Koolaid-- wayyyy to sweet. Of course neither of them is that much worse than Coke II or Crystal Pepsi.
Tried it, don’t care for it. It tastes like watered down coke to me.
I like it. It reminds me of a ice cream float once all the ice cream has melted.
I have noticed a lot of variation in the taste bottle to bottle. Sometimes I can barely taste the vanilla, making me examine the bottle to make sure I didn’t grab the wrong kind of Coke. Other times the vanilla is a little strong for my tastes.
I also like Cherry Coke, and will take that over regular Coke if given a choice. I’ve also noticed the cherry flavor varies like the vanilla flavor.
My favorite variety, however, is Rumman Coke. :D:D:D
Mountain Dew code red has been remarkably successful for a knockoff drink. I get it on the rare occasions I drink caffeine. Killing my 2-liter a day habit was hard, and I’d rather not get addicted to caffeine again… the fact that they changed the formula for MtDew a few years ago helped me get off.
I think vanilla coke is nasty, but I think regular vanilla pop is nasty, so no big surprise that I wouldn’t like it mixed with coke.
I haven’t had Pepsi Blue yet. Too sweet sounds good.
I can’t wait for Pepsi’s new Crystal Clear Near Beer.
I was going to post a horrible pun involving the OPer’s user name and the serving temperature of the stuff, but I don’t think I will, after all.
I hate the stuff, it remind me of the homemade floats my sister and I used to make. Well, the really nasty tasting last third of those floats anyway. If they could ever get it to taste like the top two-thirds, I’d drink it.
Pepsi Blue tastes like Strawberry. It reminds me of Crunch-Berries cereal.
Of course, the joke immediately presents itself
“I just had a Pepsi Blue.”
“How was it?”
“Blue.”
Unfortunately my friends never play along with my little “jokes”, so nobody would ask how it was.
I love Vanilla Coke precisely because it tastes like the last third of a Coke float.
I like Vanilla Coke, but I think it tastes way better in a can than in plastic. Dr. Pepper Red Fusion also rates high with me, as it is a strong caffe–(Oh darn, I can’t spell, I’m STILL reeling from the “Talking Eloquently thread Wet Noodle-Lashing” I received…LOL)
–beverage that has caffeine in it that also is lighter colored, thus a little easier on the system.(WHEW!)
Pepsi Blue…Well, I’ll have it again, but it just didn’t “Hit the Spot” like the old Pepsi of yore.
“Pepsi’s dissapointing response to Vanilla Coke appears to be the somewhat unremarkable Pesi Blue.”
What is Pesi Blue?
Anyway, I heard it looks like Romulan Ale…
Pepsi blue tastes like soap, unless it is frozen!
