I’m in Nashville trying to help my mom install her new DSL in Seattle so I’m feeling very bound by what I can see and do. I’ve talked her through installing her NIC (YAY!!!) and we’ve got her hardware (Westell dsl modem) all connected with 3 solid green lights.
Now when we throw in the setup cd, it automatically says she doesn’t have enough space on her c: drive to install. Ok, I knew that going into it, but she has plenty of room on her d: drive to install. however I cannot (get mom to) find the option to direct the install to another place. We ran the setup from the cd manually but just keep getting the message that she doesn’t have enough space on the c: drive, and only gives the “option” to quit setup. There is a mention in the instruction book that you can direct it to another install path but either my mother can’t read it to me correctly (a distinct possibility) or the instructions are incomplete.
If anyone here has installed Verizon dsl with that setup disk and can tell me how to direct it to install somewhere other than the c: drive, I’d appreciate the help.
TIA
