Hell, I remember it when it was a new strip. Mind you I didn’t know who the hell John Kerry was then.
When I was a very young kid, I got the first collection on Doonesbury cartoons, and I remember this one. I wouldn’t have made the connection until it popped up recently though.
I knew more about Watergate and Vietnam than most of my fellow grade schoolers…
