Maya Elizabeth Ruth was born at 11:50am on Thursday in a totally uneventful c-section. IMHO definitely the way to give birth…numb from the waist down and all over in 20minutes!Perfect for impatient control freaks like me.
She weighed 6lbs 3oz…so the scan overestimated considerably, but my OB still doesn’t think she would have come out the traditional exit even so.
We stayed in hospital for 3 days- she’s little jaundiced, and lost a little bit too much weight, but is PERFECT!
I’m afraid I’ve just been too knackered to get near a computer until now.
Anyway…here’s a video for you.

I’m glad everything went so smoothly with the c-section. Take care of yourself and don’t push yourself too quickly. There’s plenty of time for rushing around later.

I’ve seen lots of newborn babies, and most of them are seriously ugly (although you would never say that to the new 'rents of course).
But that kid of yours in the video, she is one absolutely gorgeous little 'un irishgirl, even though she looks like she’s had a night on the Murphys, being so un-co and all.
