Admittedly I did not watch the whole thing but I got a good part of it and was not happy at all with Biden’s performance.
Mind you I say this as someone implacably opposed to Romney/Ryan.
ABC News: “Biden won”.
Indeed. VP debates are not decisive (Bentsen v. Quayle) – the headliners win it or lose it and it’s all on their shoulders…
Biden was great.
Mark Shields on PBS just slipped up and referred to “President Biden.” Heh.
Ryan got a spankin’.
I only caught the last 45 minutes of this debate (work interfered; damn you gainful employment!) but Biden came across as strong and very informed. Ryan came across as just another Fox News Republican. Was the first 45 minutes any different?
Now on ABC they are discussing “how much this moves the needle”.
CNN Poll currently running 64% Biden, 36% Ryan.
I thought Biden dominated nearly the whole time.
Narrative #1, I think. Toss-up.
No. But we do know now that Ryan is very conversant on the progression of the seasons of the year.
Republican analysis on ABC (didn’t catch her name) said the Libya consolate attack is a “growing scandal”.
Two words that I’ve heard used that I agree with:
Biden seemed very passionate. Ryan seemed very shallow.
Perfectly fair, we all know how sternly disapproving Republicans can be when it comes to bad decisions based on faulty intelligence.
So Romney should be president because he will create jobs, with all that money he has, where are the start ups or new business made by him after leaving Bain? Besides the accounting ones here and in the caiman islands? Or are the trusts that he and his family manages do create a lot of jobs?
Van Jones on CNN: “Biden put a lot of fact-checkers out of work tonight.”
Biden was good. I don’t think he was the victor of each round, but I think he came out as the superior candidate.
But damn, that man needs to stay away from numbers. “Eight million billion” came out of his mouth a couple of times. The reversals in his speech made me wince.
That said, Ryan looked very young compared to Biden, and not in a good way.
