But try going through out-of-turn. You’d think that WW3 had started.
Well, not to their face. I have all my teeth and would like to keep it that way!
Except Semenko, I guess, because he’s dead.
That just means he is a good communist.
I knew this might come up. But Belfour was one of those rare exceptions that prove the rule. I hated the bastard, but assholes like that (as goalies) are rare. Consider, instead, Curtis Joseph (“Cujo”) or Carey Price. When my son was a kid he had a picture that Cujo signed for him, and a poster of him up on his bedroom wall. The best athletes are ambassadors to the future generation and contributors to the community. Many other ones, not so much.
Interesting. In Vietnam, the ROK Marines had the rep for the baddest mothers in the valley.
Oh, you’re actually serious? Goalies don’t fight often because there’s only one replacement suited up. They really don’t seem to be pacifists, as a breed.
Cam Talbot, Canadian contributes to causing a brawl:
Patrick Roy’s been in more than one fight:
Price could have not thrown the one punch in this fight:
And just so you don’t think I’m picking on Canadians, Brent Johnson, also has kind of a habit.
I am very skeptical of that story. Unless you are putting it in the pocket of a dude as you push him off a cliff that would kill him anyway, I really don’t see anyone taking such a stupid risk.
Canadians are (were) well kmown for their warfighting capability. We punched WAY above our weight in WWI, WWII, Korea, and Afghanistan. For quite a while, Canadian peacekeepers were in conflict zones around the world. A Canadian sniper holds the record for longest kill (or did - haven’t checked recently). The last Top Gun contest in the U.S. was won by the Canadians. Canada used to beat the rest of NATO so badly in European wargames that they started informally calling it “The Canada Cup”.
JTF-2, our special forces, are considered among the best in the world. You haven’t heard much about them because they do not promote themselves and prefer secrecy.
It says something that the leader of the SEALs, himself a SEAL, prefers JTF-2 for ‘direct action missions’.
Unfortunately, the military here is grossly underfunded now and losing capability.
We did, however, order 88 F-35s recently.
You guys are being nice to Lockheed-Martin.
