Viewing SDMB with Mozilla Firefox

I can’t seem to load the SDMB with Firefox. It askes me to download a file, and then I don’t even know what program to use to run this file. Anyone else having this problem? SDMB works fine with Internet Explorer, but I don’t like IE.

Thanks.

Loads as fast as it ever has for me and I’m on Firefox as well. Do you have SpyBot or Ad-Aware? You might have some spyware on your computer.

I’m using Firefox right now, no problems and never seen anything like you describe. SDMB doesn’t use any plug ins or anything special you’d need to download.
What file does it ask you to download?

No problems here, either…I’ve been using Mozilla exclusively for some months now.

This exact thing happened to me a couple days ago. It kept telling me that it was going to download some .php file. I told it to open in Firefox, just to see what happened, and I got the page source.

I cured it by clearing my cache.

On a Mac: in the Firefox menu, choose Preferences . . . (In Windows or 'nix, this is probably under Edit.)

Click on the Privacy icon at the left. Click an Cache on the list at the right. Hit the Clear button.

I hope this helps.

In Windows (XP) it’s under Tools, then Options. Follow Podkayne’s directions from here.

Ok that seems to have done the trick. Thanks guys.
