"VIP Membership Club Now" scam

A friend of mine thought she was getting a good deal on an online product that supposedly helped protect phone screens, and found out that an annual $80 membership fee was deducted from her account by something called the “VIP Membership Club Now”. She swears that this wasn’t the company she ordered from, and the there were no disclaimers or boxes to check or uncheck on the original site.
If you go to vipmembershipclubnowdotcom there is absolutely no information at all about the company-just a line to type in the order number. She typed in the order number and the page she was directed to only showed the item…but no company information at all, not even in tiny print on the bottom.
She got more information from the bank and was about to call that company’s info line. After a 25 minute wait, she was told that what she bought was a membership in the club, the bottle of screen protector was a free gift for joining, and that what she thought was the price of the bottle was actually the shipping cost. After much haggling they offered her half of the $80 back to cancel the membership, which I told her to accept because these people were overseas and do much more damage if they chose to do so. I also told her monitor here account very closely until the chargeback occurred, and that if it didn’t occur to close that account.
I would like to know what their history was when it comes to refunds and/or scams, but I can’t seem to find out anything about this “club”. Can y’all help me?

Thank you. I am now advising my friend to check her account several times a day and to have her bank’s fraud department on speed dial.
