Now - I am not techy clever person. But an online friend is asking me about some evil virus/Trojan on her comp (cos her rather silly sister was using the comp- last *** time that will happen, I should think).
Celynfriend says "its called a dlu32\dluca".
AVG does not help it, she says, and nor dos Norton.
I do realise we may be somehow getting this problem all wrong, but am just admitting ignorance, and looking for any possible help, while I will continue to see what else I aand my delightful but equally non-techy friend can think of.
Please, any advice would be most gratefully received.
What are the symptoms? McAfee AVERT has no information on this. Googling “dlu32” brings up numerous references to dlu32.dll, but nothing about a virus infestation. Dlu32.dll is a system file for windows NT-based systems.
yeah - I fear she has typed its name wrongly to me - bah! And I would not want to bother people the the wrong info but just reported what she said. But now she is gone offine - one hopes by choice for some reason fo family dinner or somthing.
Of course I mailed her to tell her that I have asked for help so IF she finds a solution or other clues, she ought please to tell me at once, as I do not want to be leaving a post pleading for help when it is either inaccurate in its (admittedly scant) info, OR already fixed).
Bah - either computers are the work of the devils or of course, idiots like me and Celynfriend ought to get off backsides and learn.

And so will the Celynfriend to be. Ahh tee hee, though, she was already furious at the sister’s incompetence (sis seems to be the kind that passes on all sorts of junk e-mail glurge) but now - hahaha - she can have fun loudly remarking to the computer-wrecking sis about it being a porn dialer.
