Visa Question

I’m hoping to get a clue from some of the Millions. I’m travelling to Brazil in August. Between now and then, I’m moving. The Boston consulate handles the area I’m currently living in, the DC consulate/embassy my new home. Does it particularly matter which consulate I go to when I apply for the visa?

I can’t seem to figure out the info online, my email has gone unanswered, and a phone call to the consulate put me into a menu system that literally brought me in a circle without talking to a single human being. :smack:

For that matter, do I need to update my passport with a new address when I move?

I’m in no way qualified to give any answer, but here’s my thoughts.

I’d go to the Boston one and explain your situation and see what they say. But if I had a gun to my head, I’d go with Boston.

Yeah, I was trying to avoid a trip to the Boston consulate-- they’re only taking 20 visa applications a day in retribution for something the US is doing to Brazilian visa applicants, so I figured I wouldn’t go unless I knew I had to.

But at least that’s something I know I can do now…
