Visiting Dallas in November

I’ll be visiting Dallas for 3 days in November. I had a couple of free days, and so Dallas here I come.

So, what should I see in Dallas and surrounding areas? I will have a car, so driving is an option. Museums, shows, parks …?

Well at least it’s cooler then, and you might not melt

If you like art, may I suggest Fort Worth?

You can visit the modern art, the Kimball and the Amon Carter (all within walking distance). You can also visit the Cowgirl Museum.

If you want to make a day of it, visit the zoo.

The aquarium is pretty fun. Its more like an indoor zoo then aquarium though. Half the animals aren’t even aquatic.

You can also visit the path of another famous November visitor in Dallas at Dealey Plaza and the 6ths floor museum in the school book depository. From there you can walk a few blocks to the west end distict and eat and maybe ride a horse and buggy. Its a pretty nice and clean tourist friendly area.

Ive heard the old city park was pretty cool as well. The park hasa bunch of different period houses brought from areas around Texas with historical reinactors running each one.
