Visual C++ Book - Recommendations

Gotta get up to speed quickly on Visual C++ for a new job I just started. I know the C++ language quite well already, so this should be specific to Visual C++. For reasons I won’t explain, I won’t have access to a computer while learning, if that might figure into your recommendations.

Thanks.

I hate when I forget something: any online resources would also be appreciated. Yes, that contradicts what I said above about having no computer, but just go with it.

Thanks again.

I’d just read the Users Guide. I got everything I needed from it. (Assuming, as you say, that you already are competent in C++.)

Have you used Borland’s C++ Builder?

If so, it’s a pretty easy transition. If you’re coming from a a background where you’ve only used it on a unix system, it’s going to be a little trickier.

Gonna be tricky then, as I am 100% UNIX as far as C++ goes.
