Vitamin water

Do you guys drink vitamin water? It seems to be the trendy and popular beverage of the moment and most people either love it or never drink it. It’s not a favorite of mine, too many calories and sugars, but I’m curious if you guys drink it or not. Have you tried and are you hooked?

Bleh. I tried it once. I was expecting something closer to Gatorade or some sort of juice and it tasted like…well…water. It should be called vitamin drink.

I have tried it but I am allergic to something in it and it causes me to break out in weird blisters on my hands. That makes me sad because it tastes okay but it isn’t worth the allergies.

I take a multi-vitamin, why would I need more in my sugar-water?

I drink it. It’s not great for you but it’s better than soda.

I like most of the flavors, but it’s just too expensive for what it is.

I love the Dragonfruit flavor. (The fuschia one.) It’s all I drink. When it’s on sale for $1 per bottle I’ll buy a whole case of them and it’ll last me a month of so. I’ve been drinking them since last winter so it’s weird to see them all over the place now.

I used to like the dragonfruit as well, but it seemed to taste more and more of wax as time went on.
I started out liking the flavor, and sure didn’t drink it for any health benefits! If I want a healthy drink, I’ll have an unfiltered wheat beer.

Well, despite all the haters, I love the fruit punch flavor (revive)!

Any good bartender or beer slinger, can tell you that Vitamin Water is the best thing for a hangover.

Less starchy than Gatorade, much less sugary than pop/soda, and much more palatable than plain water. The blend of sweetness and refreshing…um…chugability… sold me on the spot. Hydration, plus some extra is good, not optimal, but much better than other alternatives.

I can’t wait for the first person to come in here and justify their bottled water as a better alternative. Water is superior to most other beverages, but if you’re gonna buy it constantly, don’t be an idiot and buy it in 20oz. portions.

I love it but I don’t buy it all the time because it is a little expensive. I often dilute it with even more water to make it last and because I am trying to drink more water and less soda but I like a little flavor in my water. The dragonfruit used to be my favorite but now I like the green tea flavor more, it’s minty.

No, I don’t. Regular water works for me.

Me too. Life water (by Sobe) is similar with a little less sugar.

And overall better tasting flavors.

A friend of mine also swears that it’s great for hangovers, haha. But I just do not like the taste. It’s too sweet for me and if I want something sweet I’ll drink soda. I’d also rather drink water and take a multivitamin instead of drinking “sugar water.”

That company pisses me off. I’m still waiting for a lawsuit after some kid chugs down a bottle of prescription codeine cough syrup after being habituated to drinking vitamin water. I can’t stand frivolous lawsuits, but I could definitely imagine this one happening.

Um, you sure you aren’t thinking of Propel? Vitamin Water is very much like Gatorade.

What’s up with that, homeboy? V water tastes nothing like cough syrup and it has the viscosity of water.

Your wait is over. And I’m the other kind of idiot that buys it in 16oz. portions. That’s what size I need to mix with all those little “on the go” type drink packets. Some of which, include vitamins.

I do like the “on the go” drink packets of lemonade. A lot of sugar there too! But at least when I’m drinking them I know that I’m drinking sugars and not thinking that I’m having a healthy beverage. I think that’s part of my issue with vitamin water. They market it as healthy. But I guess I don’t have to drink it if I don’t want to.

I would say get a six-pack of the bottled water, and something like a Brita water filter (how well do those work, by the way?). Just refill the bottle with water and drink mix as you need more, and then buy another six-pack when you start to run low.
