I haven’t seen any threads on this show but has anyone seen this Jackass spinoff ? I caught this show for maybe the second time on MTV last night and I couldn’t stop laughing. Basically, Johnny Knoxville shows up at Bams parents house in Westchester NY after not seeing him for a year and proceeds to cut the roof off his Hummer. This starts something called Prank War which is basically 30 minutes of crazy pranks that only two insane millionares would do:
Bam: Sneaks Uncle Vito into Knoxvilles hotel where he is found in bed wearing nothing but Knoxvilles boxers and covered in chicken wings.
Knoxville: Eats Bams oatmeal or soap or whatever and regurgitates it back into the bwl for him to eat
Bam: Throws up in the toilet and tosses Dunns wallet in after
Knoxville: Glues Bams pool balls to the table with hilarious results
Knoxville: Fills Bams parents house with foam
Knoxville and Dunn: Attacks Bam with a python
Bam: Puts Knoxvilles cell phone number on an illuminated sign
Knoxville: Wrings up an $800 bar tab on Bams credit card (after passing above sign)
Bam (with Sean Penn and his son): Trashes Knoxville’s friends car and covers it in green paint.
Bam (with Sean Penn and his son): Drags Dunns custom motorcycle down the street behind his Hummer.
This irritates the crap out of me. Jackass was funny because they were creative in their pranks. Now that they’re rich, 99% of their pranks consist of destroying each other’s property. Big deal. You can afford to replace it, so who cares? What happened to inserting a toy car in your rectum, then going to get an X-Ray? Now THAT’S comedy.
I can’t get over Bam’s weird obsession with HIM.(the band) If you have ever seen the movie Haggard, with Bam and Ryan Dunn and other regulars, Bam dresses like the singer and even uses Vallo(singer from him) as his character’s name. I also heard that he flew Him in from Europe to play a private concert.
The prank war episode was one of the better recent episodes. The first season of Viva la Bam was great, this second one that is airing now is still good, but they need more episodes like the prank war one.
It’s not the destruction of property that is funny to me as much as the pain inflicted on eachother. Bam waking up to a motorcycle burning rubber on his hardwood floors was funny. Walking half asleep out into the hallway and onto the hundreds of tacks on the ground with his bare feet was fucking hillarious.
I agree completely, and I never liked Bam in the first place. Johnny Knoxville and Steve-O have always seemed like nice, down-to-Earth guys that you could sit down and have a beer with, while Bam is an annoying spoiled rich-kid, whether he earned the money himself or not.
Viva La Bam is like taking the worst element of a show and making a whole other show out of it.
Steve-O is a down to earth guy that you can sit down and have a conversation with?
I can barely imagine him existing in public view without making a mockery of himself, nevermind actually having coherent thoughts on anything other than how to hurt himself.
Bam always seemed to be much more level headed then the rest, although none of them are. I find the show hilarious.
Now, maybe someone can answer a question about this guy that I have. Was he known as a skateboarder BEFORE Jackass and Viva La Bam, or was it TV that introduced his skating career?
You know why Bam can go and do all that crazy stuff at his parents’ house? Because it’s actually his house, he bought it for them. I think that’s pretty funny.
His parents have waaaay too much patience. I’d go and live in some tiny crappy house just so I wouldn’t have to deal with alligators in my kitchen and all that nonsense.
