Unfortunately I am going to have to bail out this time. I was really looking forward to meeting you all but since my SO got the Cirque du Soleil gig and I’m allowed to go with him, there’s just no way I could turn that down. Even for a dopefest ;).
I know you all will have a wonderful time. If you have a chance I do recommend the Cirque du Soleil shows “O” at Bellagio and “Mystere” at Treasure Island. The tickets are a bit expensive but worth every penny, no doubt!

Apparently, we’re a special event for the restaurant. Well, duh.
Anyway, their special events coordinator won’t be in until tomorrow, so you all get a stay of execution. But it looks like they won’t be able to seat us until about 8 or 8:30. Is this a problem for anyone? If so, I’ll find us someplace else. Goodness knows there are plenty of places to eat in this town.

I got fired a week ago; I’ll be officially unwmployed in a few weeks. Sorry, but count me out, unless I get a job interview in Vegas during the DopeFest.

In the last week I’ve had some business and personal stuff come up that is kind of kicking my ass. I won’t be able to make it.

I realize this is pretty short notice, but I think I’ll be making the trip to Vegas! So someone can add me to the list. I’ll be driving down from Salt Lake with the wife and kids, so it should be an adventure. I’ll probably come by myself to Mandalay Bay (or wherever we meet) Friday night, and bring the whole family to dinner Saturday night. That’ll be me, my wife, and two small children to squeeze in at the table.
BTW, our room is at the Luxor. I recommend this as my favorite place that I’ve stayed in Las Vegas (nicest rooms), although it’s a tad on the pricey side. It costs 129 for Friday night and 159 for Saturday. I’ve also stayed at Harrah’s, Excalibur, Imperial Palace, and the Golden Nugget (downtown). These are all decent as well, the Golden Nugget is about the nicest downtown hotel, Imperial Palace is somewhat of a pain to get around in but is in a great location.

Disco. Just scored my tickets. Vegas baby, Vegas. I ended up staying at Imperial Palace (Treasure Island was fully booked). They were offering the best deal price-wise and they are in a good location. Last time I was in Vegas the place was still under construction.
Yeah, sounds good. Where and when? How are folks going to communicate with each other while we are there? Any phone numbers or such? Send them to me in an e-mail if anyones got em and feels comfortable sharing them with a ruffian like myself. I don’t know if my cell will work in Vegas. You should be able to reach me at the Imperial Palace by calling the front desk and asking for Christopher Robinson’s room. I get to the hotel around 1:00pm Vegas time next Thursday.
Any of you vegas locals know the best place to hook up with some internet on the strip? Other than phones and rooms, this thread will be our last best chance for communication once we get there.
