Voyager and also Trip Questions

  1. In the episode where Captain Catherine Janeway of the Federation Starship Voyager has to do something about the Omega Molecule, we learn that the molecule is unstable and only lives a trillionth of a second or less, as 7 of 9 says.
However, it also gets into things and blows them up and ruins subspace so no travel can take place, thus thwarting interplanetary culture. If it lives so short a time how does it have enough time to do all these bad things, if it lives so short a time what does it do just hang around in space and then disappear? But then where does it come from?
Also, it is said twice that it is infinite and perfect, but how can ONE moledule be infinite and what does that mean?
    2) In the other series, whose name I can never remember but it is real good except for the opening stupid song, there is an episode where Trip crash lands on this one moon and fights with a reptile monster but they wind up friends. I know it’s two small details, but a) why didn’t the two of them go up higher to send off their signals to the ship? There was a high pinacle higher than where they stopped and set up their gear, and it was right near them. b) Why didn’t Trip stay in the shade? He just lay there in the sun expatiating on what a good time he’d had on the tour. Anyway, whatever lines they give him, he’s a good actor and very convincing while you are watching…

It is very very bad, and very quick
