I do agree that if there had been merit to the accusations, someone would have followed them up. There was an awful lot of people involved in that incident, and given MJ’s preference for the company of younguns, I find it difficult to believe that everyone would just walk away because he paid off one person. That would have been grossly irresponsible and (given how outraged people are over it) very unbelievable, IMO.
WRT interacting with society again, though: look at how society is treating him (even people on this board: try calling someone else a child molestor/pedophile sans proof and see if it passes without mods/admins jumping down peoples’ throats*). Would you want to interact with society more if you were him? I wouldn’t blame him if he became a total recluse any more. The accusations, however unfounded (and it appears from the article I linked that they might very well be), are always going to be out there no matter what he does. That’s what makes them so insidious: people will never forget them, even if they were never true. I’m not sure that getting out more is going to help him at this point.
[*Not knocking the decisions of the mods/admins, mind you, as it’s their board of course. But the fact that viciously libelling MJ is passing without comment says something about how willing we’ve become as a society to condemn him for something of which we’ve been unable to prove him guilty. We are supposed to be above that.]
I can’t believe that he doesn’t seem to realise just how weird he looks - whiter than white face, bright red lipstick, heavily made-up eyes and designer stubble…great combination!
and his taste in clothes doesn’t exactly help…
overall he wasn’t any wackier than I expected - he came across as a very sad, lonely, attention-seeking child who just happens to be 44 years old and so rich that he can indulge his every whim without worrying about the consequences. I ended up feeling a mixture of pity and mild revulsion for him…

Also, i think that the whole thing was set up by jackson…there’s something about the whole thing that doesn’t seem right…i think that it’s some kind of disinformation or publicity thing that his people set up. i suspect that he’s recently been advised by his attorney of another lawsuit or charges and and he’s trying to taint the jury pool early.
Well, for one thing his family contradicted a lot of his stories about the abuse he suffered as a child. (And Joe’s eyes are BROWN, Michael, NOT BLUE!!!)
