Why hasn’t he reported it to someone, then?
More on the Jacko-as-Peter-Pan angle: http://www.harrisonline.com/plain/jph0206.htm
Probably because it’s his word against Michael’s.
I don’t know where this guy lives, but in my state, I am legally obligated to report suspected child abuse. Even if my proof is sketchy. Legally obligated. I would think that would apply to Opal too, since she’s been told this by this guy.
Hands up those who believe the friend over Michael!
First off, the friend is a woman. Second, I have no idea ANY specifics or even the time frame that this occurred in. I don’t know if it was 10 years ago or what. I got the impression that it was quite a while ago. Also, it isn’t like she saw them having sex or anything, she just said that the kid that was with him was definitely in the “special friend” role.
This thread’s fallen a bit, but the documentary just aired in Finland yesterday, so I saw it just then.
I was struck by how Jacko seemed kind of pained when talking about sex. There were the mentions of his brothers having sex in the same room where he slept in and that whole Tatum O’Neal thing. One thing that stuck to mind was after the giving tree episode, when Jacko said that climbing in trees and I-don’t-remember-what were his favorite hobbies, and Bashir asked whether they were better than sex or going on tours, and Jacko let out a little anguished grunt when Bashir mentioned the word ‘sex’.
The points being made in this thread have changed my mind, as have those affadavits. I’m starting to think MJ might really be a pedophile. If he is, then someone has to know about it, someone in his immediate company, an entourage member or employee or something. Why have none of these people come forward? He could, of course, be paying them off, but even still, wouldn’t your conscience eventually compel you to speak out? Especially now that he has his own (?) kids?
I don’t know if those affadavits are true or not, but the information in them is beyond scary. It is gut-freezingly weird and evil. I can’t believe that something like this could be an “open secret” and no one has taken any action. Do money and fame really give you a free pass to not only break the law but consistently behave in the most morally reprehensible manner possible? I’d like to believe the answer is no. After seeing the interview and reading this thread, I have a horrible suspicion that the answer may be yes.
Two guys you never hear from nowadays - like, ever.
(1) Quincey Jones - I’ve read interviews about 6 years ago where the great man “disowned” MJ and is blatantly ashamed for ever having worked with him. I guess he’s got some info we don’t know. He point blank refused to be involved with “Invincible” in any capacity - resulting in MJ himself being the “executive producer”. Gee, that worked out well.
(2) The doctor who did the surgery on MJ’s nose. Most doctors would be clamouring for publicity if they had worked on someone THAT famous, but not THIS doctor. If there’s one M.D. who’s embarassed about his work, it’s the guy who did the nose job on M.J. - that’s for sure.
(3) The fingernail on my right “pinkie” has more IQ than Michael Jackson.
Steven Spielberg also disavowed MJ back in '94 or '95, when MJ used the word “k*ke” in a song. His official statement was along the lines of “I don’t care what the ‘context’ was; we’re finally raising a generation of kids who don’t know that word, and he has to drag it up again.”
And good for that M.D.!
If he admitted to it, he’d probably lose his license. In fact, I’ll bet that Michael went to some not so reputable doctors. Maybe even outside the US.
So I see this thing is on VH1 right now. You can be assured that it will be in heavy rotation so we will all feel like MJ is a part of the family now.
I know I’m not the first to say this but MJ really should buy a cable channel.

MJ-TV! All Micheal, all the time!

One thing that struck me was how adorable his kids are-and Prince seems like quite a bright young fellow.
It makes me cry for them.
Today’s (Sunday’s) paper had a quote from the father of the boy who sleeps at Neverland. Apparently his parents are separated, and the father is furious and doesn’t think that this is at all a good thing. I don’t have the paper in front of me and can’t recreate the quote exactly. In essence, he said the boy’s mother was delinquent in her duty.
In all honesty, I hope he manages to get some judge to award him custody of this poor child. Whatever the level of sexual interaction there, it isn’t healthy.
Just saw ABC’s promo for tomorrow night’s “Living with Micheal Jackson” on the three-hour 20/20.
Jacko (paraphrased): “I’m telling the truth!”
Uh, which truth?
Wow…now Fox is airing ads for a counterinterview with Michael Jackson.
Well, here’s food for thought on the whole thing…an article published in GQ in 1994
Well, it has to be said that in this modern era, with so many credible persons involved in US Law enforcement, that if a legitimate case existed against MJ regarding sexual misconduct then it probably would have gone to trial by now - certainly that’s not an unreasonable assumption.
My personal beefs regarding MJ are those which I’ve outlined in my earlier posts in this thread - namely, MJ seems to be doing the exact OPPOSITE to what we would normally expect of musical artists in their 40’s who’ve been in the game all this time - he seems to be DEVOLVING, not EVOLVING at an intellectual level - an in doing so, he continues to eviscorate all the good will which he legitimately earnt with the “Off the Wall” and “Thriller” albums.
Incidents such as the shameful “Artist of the Millenium” faux pax with Britney Spears are just unforgiveable. It’s on a par with Courtney Love accepting a songwriting award for the songs of Kurt Cobain - just something plain yeccchhhh about it.
And having allowed fiscal mismanagement to effectively turned over the Beatles publishing rights to Sony is just plain wrong. Any self respecting music historian in a position of MJ’s standing would have just done ANYTHING to have avoided such a fate I rather think.
Accordingly, his financial position now is one which I not only have a total lack of sympathy for, rather, I have total contempt for the guy at an intellectual level as a result.
I dunno. I just watched the entire interview and came away with mixed feelings. These are what I gathered from the interview:
Michael is really good to his fans. He never disrespected them and even interacted with a few of them in odd but nice ways.
His life must be harder than just about any other celeb. This guy is totally mobbed EVERYWHERE he goes. The chances of him ever having a normal life are about zero. These people around him are fanatical.
I don’t think he is a child molester, though I am not 100% sure he hasn’t done anything inappropriate in his life. When he had the kids at his ranch he seemed to be happy that they were happy and having fun.
He does need mental help though. This guy is dealing with some serious demons and I still don’t think the world knows what they really are.
He needs professional help with his kids. I think he loves his kids, but he needs guidance on dealing with them in public and letting them lead normal lives.
He has had alot of plastic surgery. But who cares? Its his body and he did what he felt he had to do. Sure he looks terrible, but who really cares.
All in all I think the best thing MJ can do for himself is to start interacting with society again so that when he comes out of his house its not like people are seeing the Pres of the US or something. Just another celeb is what he needs to make himself out to be.
