In the college town where i go to school in illinois, ephedrine is sold in the liquor stores… but I thought this was illegal to be sold? Where is it still being manufactured that it can still be sold?

Also… a semi-hijack to my own thread: What are the “Side effects” to taking ephedrine… what about the long and short term consequences? Seeing this being sold certainly sparks my interest.

the government is working on legislation to illegalize it(i believe bush signed something on it), though it seems that if you do not abuse it, you will be fine unless you have a blood pressure/heart condition or something. what it does, is increase heart rate and energy, while constricting blood vessels, so it is obvious why people who abused it wound up the way they did.
